Earth Day and Appreciating the Beauty at Home

April 22nd marks 'Earth Day'. A day to stand up for, appreciate, respect, thank and support our precious planet. To show our backing for enviromental protection. To enjoy the joys that Mother Nature provides us. In previous years we have always made a point of going somewhere special, carrying out an act like litter picking, and in recent years grounding myself with a walk in the sea.
This year I couldn't go far, so took myself into the gardens to make sure I didn't let a special day pass without noticing. I took in the life around me, appreciated the wildness and range of Nature in our own small patch, and 'planted' some seed balls. I read my Nature themed year-long reads, pulled an oracle card, and breathed deep in the fresh air. Though I may not be able to make a huge change in our fading world, all I can do is my best for the things I have control over. For us everyday is Earth Day. It should be for everyone.

Below are my Earth Day photos, followed by some other images taken on the surrouding days in our gardens.

Have a Happy Beltane!
