15 Disney Quotes to Live By

[As I'm currently dealing with a photo editing delay and technical difficulties I thought this post (that has been sitting in my drafts since this time 6 years ago) would make a nice break from all the bird-heavy content.]
---

I've put together so many different blog posts surrounding the wonderful world of Disney over the years that a) I'm practically running out of subjects to discuss and b) some of them are now incredibly outdated! I decided to look back at some of the older posts and, not re-do them per se, but re-visit them and re-vamp some. Was that enough 're-'s in one sentence?

In this post, I wanted to share some of the many inspirational Disney quotes that I think we should all be living life by. When I'm going through a hard time, something as simple as reading through some quotes helps lift my spirits a little and I hope this post can maybe do that for you too.

"A little consideration, a little thought for others, makes all the difference."
-- Eeyore (Winnie the Pooh)

"A true hero isn't measured by the size of his strength, but by the strength of his heart."
-- Zeus (Hercules)

''Sometimes the wrong path can lead us to the right one.''
-- Rutt (Brother Bear)

''Some say our destiny is tied to the land, as much a part of us as we are of it. Others say fate is woven together like a cloth so that one’s destiny intertwines with many others. It’s the one thing we search for, or fight to change. Some never find it, but there are some who are led.''
- Merida (Brave)

"The problem is not the problem. The problem is your attitude about the problem."
-- Jack Sparrow (Pirates of the Caribbean)

"If you don't think, then you shouldn't talk."
-- March Hare (Alice in Wonderland)

"Just because it's what's done, doesn't mean it's what should be done."
-- Cinderella (Cinderella)

''Charlie: Have you ever seen a million dollars''
Scott: ''No.''
Charlie: "Just because you can’t see something, doesn’t mean it doesn’t exist."
-- Charlie (The Santa Clause)

''The past can hurt. But the way I see it, you can either run from it or learn from it''
-- Rafiki (The Lion King)

"The only thing predictable about life is its unpredictability."
-- Remy (Ratatouille)

''And keep your chin up. Soon there'll be happiness [] again.''
-- Robin Hood (Robin Hood)

''...We can't change who we are and the sooner you accept that the better off [] your life will be.''
-- Clyde (Wreck it Ralph)

"If you don't know where you want to go, then it doesn't matter which path you take."
-- The Cheshire Cat (Alice in Wonderland)

''Grandmother Willow: “Now then, there's something I want to show you. Look.”
 Pocahontas: “The ripples.”
John Smith: “What about them?”
Grandmother Willow: “So small at first, then look how they grow. But someone has to start them.”
-- Grandmother Willow (Pocahontas)

''Faith is a bluebird, we see from far. It's for real and as sure as the first evening star, you can't touch it, or buy it, or wrap it up tight, but it's there just the same, making things turn out right.''
-- Rufus (The Rescuers)

I could go on all day with Disney quotes. There seems to be an abundance of inspiration for all situations and right now I really need it! I hope you take something from them too.
Until next time...

RSPB Saltholme

These photos are from our first-ever visit to RSPB Salthome in Stockton-On-Tees. As members of the RSPB, we want to try and visit more of their reserves and Salthome is our nearest site at 40mins South of us. On the 29th of May, we packed up the car for a night away and for our first stop we spent a few hours at Saltholme.
As I use a longer lens to photograph birds and only have one camera, the shots in this post that are worse quality were taken on my phone to capture those sights I couldn't on the DSLR.

The photos may not be the best representation of this gorgeous reserve. Set against a backdrop of contrasting industrialism, on land that was once a part of that world, is a complete wildlife haven.
This year is the celebration of 15 Years since RSPB Saltholme opened and you can read a great post from Teesside Environmental Trust about it here > RSPB Saltholme: 15 Years of Nature's Triumph.

I can't wait for our next visit and hope to be able to photograph it in a way that shows what a jewel of the North East this place really is. There was so much more we didn't get to experience and I think it'd be the perfect place to spend a whole day and with a picnic!
