We're in the 4th year of sharing my birdy photos, though technically 2024's images are year 5, as usually I post the previous year's photos each quarter however this year I am posting each month in the following month!
I can't believe it's been 5 years of taking notice of my species' photographed! I don't know who, if anyone, cares about these types of posts and I understand that birding, on the whole, is vastly dominated by middle to older-aged males who probably aren't reading a 30-something female's blog! However, as with everything, I love to have this all here to look back on myself.
That being said, here are April 2024's bird photos!

In last month's post I said, ''I've no idea how April will go with such a huge chunk of it blacked out when we stay home during the school holiday - but hopefully, we'll get at least some photos...''. Who knew that I'd not only get 2 new lifers right outside my back garden but also manage to add 16 overall species to my yearly list!
In the last two days of the month alone, on our trips to RSPB Saltholme and RSPB Bempton Cliffs, I added 10 for the year, 4 of which were lifers. So exciting! I know for a fact that May was a much slower month but I also know that I did get to see and photograph at least 1 new and special species...
