Here we have the final part of my 'The Birds of 2020' quarterly posts! As with the previous three posts, this post is home to photos of the wonderful birds I photographed and featured in my 2020 daily photo project from October to December.

---

That makes 16 different species of birds photographed throughout October to December 2020! Wow! Of course, we are always extremely lucky and appreciative to experience any and all wild birds, especially those who choose to visit our garden, however, to see the Peregrine Falcon in person in the business park where Mr H worked at the time was magical!!

Considering the July - September post featured a mere 7 species, 16 is wonderful! I have totalled up all the different species photographed through the whole of 2020 and if my workings out are correct there were 34 and the list of each can be seen below.

Black Bird,
Black-Backed Gull,
Black-Headed Gull,
Blue Tit,
Bullfinch,
Chaffinch
Coal Tit,
Collared Dove,
Coot,
Cormorant,
Crow,
Dunnock,
Fulmar,
Greylag Goose,
Herring Gull,
House Sparrow,
Juvenile Buzzard,
Lapland Bunting,
Leghorn Chicken,
Magpie,
Mallard,
Mandarin Duck,
Mistle Thrush,
Mute Swan,
Peregrine Falcon,
Rock Dove,
Robin,
Starling,
Stonechat,
Song Thrush,
Tufted Duck,
White Rock Dove,
Wood Pigeon,
Yellowhammer.

There's no chance I'll beat that this year but I can't get over how amazing it is to have the opportunity to see such a variety of birds all in my county. So many of those above were seen from my very own house!

Until next time...

The Birds of 2020 // July - September

That's half of 2021 done and so it's time to share the next quarter worth of bird photos from 2020. In this post, you will see any photos of the wonderful birds I was lucky enough to photograph and include in my 2020 daily photo project from July through September.
See the other posts in this mini-series here:
The Birds of 2020 // January - March

July

Wood Pigeon.
Only 1 species photographed in July.

August

White Rock Dove, Greylag Goose, Starling, Collared Dove
4 Species photographed in August. 4 new this month.

September

Robin, Rock Dove
2 Species photographed in September. 2 new this month.

That's 7 species photographed in July, August and September 2020. It's well seen from this post that during these months in particular I left home very rarely indeed. Out of the 3 posts in this mini-series so far this post has the fewest photos in general let alone the least diverse bunch of species.
4 photos were taken from my window, 2 from the car and 2 on walks. It'll be fun to compare these to this year...

Until next time!

The Birds of 2020 // April - June

A quarter of the year has passed already and that means it's time to share my next instalment of birds from 2020. These are any photos of beautiful birds I took and had included in my daily photos throughout April to June last year. You can check out the first set of images here > The Birds of 2020 // January - March.

April

Collared Dove, Starling, Wood Pigeon, Mute Swan, Rock Dove (common pigeon).
5 Species Photographed in April.

May

Song Thrush, Lapland Bunting, Wood Pigeon, Robin, Leghorn Chicken, Blackbird.
6 Species photographed in May. 5 new this month.

June

Collared Dove, Starling, Wood Pigeon, Mallard, Juvenile Buzzard, Blackbird.
6 Species photographed in June. 2 new this month.

That totals different 12 species photographed in April, May and June! 6 of those were taken on 4 different trips actually outside away from home, which is a shock because that's a lot of walks in 3 months compared to the rest of 2020 and into this year. No matter the species, whether I see it every day or it's my first time seeing it, I am always excited and lucky to photograph such beautiful creatures. Until next time...
