Disneyland Paris 2017 - Part 5

Part 5 and drawing our first day to a close. After we'd had dinner (see the previous post - click here) we made our way back over to the Disneyland Park, parked our bottoms and waited for the parade. I have two separate posts all about the new parade and my experiences during it - Disney Stars on Parade pt.1, Disney Stars on Parade pt.2  - so we're starting this post off after the parade was over after we'd popped into a few stores and had a wander down Main Street to Fantasyland.
Something everyone needs to do on their first trip to DLP (well first proper trip for Laura) is It's a Small World. Some people hate it, others love it, some are annoyed by it and some live for it. I think it is the best! Especially since it's the last refurb. I took so many photos of it over my previous two visits that I will be doing a detailed post just on that ride in the coming months so for now here's just a couple snaps.

From Small World, we hit up Casey Jr. (something that has come to be one of my all-time favourite rides in the whole of Disneyland Paris), followed by a lovely sail around on Le Pays des Contes de Fées...which is another I will be doing a detailed, separate post on soon because it is so pretty and underrated.
I think I mentioned in the last post that I really didn't concentrate on taking photos as much this trip and I'm a little disappointed because 1. I usually do and 2. I have an awful memory. But I think we worked our way around Peter Pan, Snow White and Pinocchio before wandering over to Central Plaza and grabbing a spot for the fireworks pretty early. I went on the hunt for a water fountain to fill up my juice bottle but got distracted on a solo stroll in Adventureland, ended up not finding one and buying a slush instead and apparently while I was away one of the masses got engaged in front of the castle, how sweet!
Next post, the last, will be of the fireworks and I'll explain then why I took no photos on the 2nd day... :/

Disneyland Paris 2016 // Day 5, Part 1

Day 5! Our very last day at 'home'. This trip was different from others. On the one hand, it was extra amazing because we got to share it with brilliant friends who were seeing it all for the first time and experiencing that was magical. However, it was my first trip in winter and the cold (no matter how well prepared you are with 2 pairs of socks, tights, jeans, vest, t-shirt, jumper, coat etc) was a killer...especially when you suffer with pains. I'm never happy to see the end of a DLP visit but I must admit I was kind of looking forward to getting home this time.
As I was saying - our last day! Kerri and Kris had left the previous night leaving Mam and me with the day alone to do anything we had missed, was closed or re-do things we just like that much. Starting with a skip down Main Street and a couple of special meet and greets!

We had such a lovely meet with Goofy and Pluto and an even better one with Jack who is always an absolute star to meet (look at his face after Mam told him his Xmas tree looked rather sparse after he asked her how she liked it haha). I couldn't not pay Adventureland a quite visit before we left, even if it was only passing through. It was extra beautiful in the morning sunshine while completely dead!
As you can see we carried on through to Fantasyland, rode Le Pays des Contes de Fées, bird watched for a while and ended our morning in Disneyland Park by touring the castle. All of those will have their own separate posts, as will It's a Small World, as I just have far too many photos not to share them all.
Look out for part two of the very last December day in Disneyland Paris to see how we spent it. Up next week ;)

Disneyland Paris 2016 // Day 4, Part 2

Following on from my previous Disneyland Paris 2016 post is part two, naturally. Slightly confusingly, however, I'm jumping back to before the Skull Rock etc photos for the start of this post. I don't know how or why I edited photos backwards but our first port of call in Adventureland was La Cabane des Robinson! I don't know how many times I've explored the Swiss Family Robinson treehouse now but I never tire of it. I guess many people find it boring as they just rush up and rush down without really looking at anything or taking in the amazing views, but when you are a fan of the film (minus animal abuse obviously :/) you can appreciate it a lot more.
Anyway, Mam, who is terrified of heights, decided she wanted to do it but halfway up realized she couldn't so had to go back down. That left me with Kerri and Kris and some not amazing weather for views but it was a nice explore never the less. After we met back with Mam we headed to Adventure Isle and the caves, though not before Kris and I ran and jumped across the bridge right after the scaredy cats had just posed smiling...they weren't after we followed doing that haha.

From Adventureland, it was on to Fantasyland and our first shot on Dumbo of the trip. Another attraction that is best enjoyed when the weather is amazing. It's still lots of fun of course but the photos are incomparable to ones like these > click here.
After that I think the others got hungry and so popped back to where we had tried the first day, Pizzeria Bella Note, for something to eat. As for me, I took the opportunity to do something I have never done - go on a ride all alone. A huge step for me and something I really enjoyed...despite the funny looks and points while I went round and round on Le Carrousel de Lancelot!

This was the night Kerri and Kris were leaving and Mam and I had plans so we left the park pretty early to get back to the hotel and change. On the way we had a look in a few more boutiques, more so to oggle the details of the decor than the actual products for sale! Overall it seems like day 4 was the most relaxing of all...so unusual for a Danielle Disney holiday haha. Extremely enjoyable though. It was just sad to be parting ways with our friends. Again soon please Kerri? ;)
