Disneyland Paris 2017 - Part 4

It seems at this point photo-taking started to go out of the window somewhat. Around midday, we hopped on over to the other park to check off the few things on our list that we wanted to do, before our lunch/dinner (linner?) reservation at Restaurant des Stars at 2.30. We had hoped to eat around 4 but the only slots were either super early or a lot later and, as we 1) had other plans & 2) aren't the type who eat meals in the late evening, so we settled for that time.
As I think I probably mentioned in a previous post, I had just visited in December but Laura hadn't been since a short school trips years ago, so I made a list of must-dos in the short time we had. Here's some of what we got up to in the Walt Disney Studios Park.

We didn't quite expect to do any character meets in WDS but we spotted Tigger and Eeyore with a tiny queue right by Art of Animation so we had to grab a sneaky hug. Then we popped round to check the times for Mickey and the Magician, squeezed in a go on Cars Quatre Roues Rallye (always a good laugh), had a good cry at the show and headed round to Ratatouille. Single rider on this ride is a 'Godsend'! A 5-minute wait as opposed to a 50+ min wait - yes please! We even ended up in the same rat which was an extra plus.
I finally had the time and guts to step up and ride Toy Soldiers Parachute Drop, which was okay. I love hights but I'm not the biggest fan of the dropping sensation but it was way better than Tower of Terror.
Something I haven't bothered with since 2010 is Armageddon, though seeing as we were early for our meal reservation and it was starting we thought what the heck and to tell you the truth I actually enjoyed it. With a bit of an expansion, this could be super cool. After doing the WDS tour back in December it reiterates what this park is meant to be all about - the behind the scenes and making of the movies.
Once we came out of that attraction it was time to eat and be disappointed...so much so I apparently took no photos at all for a proper review...oops!

Disneyland Paris 2016 // Day 5, Part 2

This is it. The very last part of the very last day of our December 2016 Disneyland Paris trip. At this point in my trip posts I usually get a little post-Disney blues, this time though, I have to look forward to many more DLP posts! Not only extras from the 2016 trip like certain rides in detail as well as bird watching at Disney and more, but there are obviously a couple to come from my May 2017 trip! Yay!

Day 5 was sadly not a full day as our Eurostar was in the evening and us being us, preferring to be early rather than late, meant we left the park around 4. In part 1, you saw we spent the morning in the Disneyland park but by around 11.30 we hopped on over to the Walt Disney Studios to squeeze in some important things that we hadn't been able to until then...

Something a little sad was that Ratatouille had been closed for all of our trip only opening on Saturday. That meant we didn't get to do it with Kris and Kerri!! Boo :( As that was the case and the normal line was over 2 hours long we decided to try out the single rider queue (my first time ever...read about my bad experience here) which although it says 50mins on the sign ended up being a less than a 25-minute wait.
After that we had a little walk through Playland, arriving at another attraction that had just reopened on Saturday too - Studio Tram Tour! I hear a lot of people complain about this saying it's boring and outdated but this was about my 5th time going on it and I still enjoy it just as much every time. As you can see once we left STT we ended up at Art of Animation, probably my most favourite part of the WDS park. This was where we spent the last of our time, along with a quick snack in Restaurant en Coulisse. The expression on Mam's face says it all.

It's always hard leaving Disneyland but this time was a little different. The cold really affected our trip and when you suffer from pains etc as it is, it takes so much more out of you than usual. I can easily say that I will not return to DLP for the Christmas season again. It doesn't bother me anyways with not being a fan of Christmas on a whole, but it's really nice to have been fortunate enough to experience it at least once. Thanks for reading and I hope you have enjoyed these posts. If you have missed any the full list is below. All are very photo heavy and have taken hours upon hours to put together so you checking them out means a lot! See you soon with more Disneyland Paris posts and photos :)

Disneyland Paris 2016 // Day 3, Part 3

Check out Part 1 and Part 2 of Day 3 in these links before reading on!

Phew, welcome the 3rd and final part of day 3 out of 5 from our winter 2016 DLP trip! As you might be able to tell, this was the day I took the most photos. Like hundreds. Over the 5 days, there were a thousand or so taken so just consider how long it takes to go through all those and even with splitting this day over 3 posts I still had to cut out a heck load of photos.
Anyway. Part 2 left off after our Grand Circle Tour on the Disneyland Railroad and when we arrived back at the Main Street Station we hopped on over to the other park. After having done the tour the previous day I was in information-spewing mode so was pointing out everything to (/annoying) Kerri and Kris while we walked to the Moteurs...Action! Stunt Show Spectacular!! Yay!!
I am a big fan of this show and obviously took way too many photos so have reigned it in as much as possible and only included a few...well 12...below :)

Upon leaving the stunt show, we popped over to Studio 1 for our pause gourmande. Well, Mam, Kerri and Kris did. I went to watch the band again and had a look in my fave shop for a certain pin that a lovely cast member helped locate for me. I then decided I wanted a cookie so grabbed one from The Hep Cat which was lush.
Time was ticking on and getting closer to our reservation for dinner (well an hour or two but I like to be prepared) so we just had a little wander around Toy Story Playland, a quick whizz on Slinky Dog Zig Zag Spin and a mini photoshoot on the Ratatouille-mobiles before splitting up and Mam and I headed for dinner at Bistrot Chez Rémy. I did a whole post dedicated to this experience because I had so many photos and so much to say about it, so if you'd like to know about that in more detail you can click here for that post! It's a good one if I do say so myself.
When we came out it was super dark. I've never been to Walt Disney Studios in the dark before so although it was closed and we should have been leaving quickly, we dawdled a bit for me to take some photos. These are the moments I wish I had a tripod with me, but imagine lugging a massive tripod around a Disney park all day? That wouldn't be so fun! Unlike this day - it was SO much fun. Stay tuned for day 4 & 5 in the coming weeks as well as posts from this week's mini adventure to the 25th-anniversary celebrations!!
