Spring at Beamish Open Air Museum

Here is my second quarterly Beamish photo post! At the start of the year, we re-newed our Friends of Beamish passes with the aim of visiting at least once (almost) every month.  We can only go on outings on Wednesdays so it limits our availability a little and so last season although we managed our 3 visits, we did miss getting to go in February due to Baker having a small injury.
You can see the previous post here > Winter at Beamish Open Air Museum

As Spring arrived we again got our 3 visits in, well technically 4! However, now Summer is here and we won't be able to go back to Beamish now until September (due in part to the weather and in part to the schools being on holiday and everywhere being a million times busier than usual during the week), so my photos from our one visit in June will be included alone in a Summer at Beamish post!
Anyway, below is a peek at Beamish Open Air Museum during Spring!

Start of May

End of May

You can see a real change in the landscape through these photos from the start of the post to the end, don't you think? It's crazy to think how quickly things change. How dormant things come back to life. Fallen leaves regrow and browns turn to greens. We are very lucky to live in a place in the world that experiences vast differences during the seasons, as many places don't!

[I forgot to mention, but yes, Baker is always on his lead at Beamish as dogs are meant to be. On the visit featured in the last set of photos, we had to leave early because there was a huge congregation of people with dogs off lead which is not fair in the slightest! We speciefically choose to walk Baker at Beamish because we feel safe doing so. This visit ruined that for us and now we are just as nervous. For the sake of people and/or dogs who may be nervous, rescues, reactive or anything in between please be considerate and keep your dogs away and especially on lead if in a place they are meant to be!
In the photos where Baker is sitting alone, he is sitting a few feet from his daddy who is just out of shot and has had his lead photoshopped out to make the image look better. ]
