Two Years Back

Although I have been blogging since 2008 and on this blog in particular since 2012, I left the blogosphere in May 2018 with no plans to return. However, on April 16th 2020, I came back and last year I posted a round-up of what that first year back in Wonderland had been like. While looking back at what I've posted in the past couple of years I thought I'd continue that look-back and do another round-up today.

So, let's look back at April 2021 until the present through blog posts...

* For some reason, many of my month 'Life Lately' posts landed in my top viewed list so I have omitted all of those in favour of actually interesting posts haha.

Truth be told, this was a last-minute blog post. I've had the past few weeks' posts scheduled well ahead of time but let myself get caught out when they ran out. I had two others partly done that could have gone up today but I didn't fancy finishing those right now haha.
I'm glad I did do this post though. Looking back through my blog archive has shown me that although we are still being extremely strict in regards to the pandemic, not going to many places at all and still avoiding other people as much as possible, we still have been able to get out and enjoy some of our favourite places. Day to day being at home alone I don't often realize how lucky we have been and how many walks and adventures we have managed.
It has also shown me how few vegan and eco posts I've put together in comparison to last year which is a little sad. I have so many half-finished ideas and drafts but haven't made the time to complete them yet for one reason or another. This vegan journey and being kind to our planet is very much so one of the most important parts of my life and so I'll try harder to continue promoting a lifestyle than is much needed to save the future.

Well, I guess that's two years back. And 10 full years of Underland to Wonderland.
Thanks for stopping by.
Until next time...

Winter at Beamish Open Air Museum

In January we renewed our Friends of Beamish passes! We hadn't visited Beamish since July last year when the restrictions changed and we didn't feel comfortable being out in 'public'* anymore. We actually only managed a mere two visits during the whole of 2021, so our goal for this year is to go at least once a month.
I've spoken about it many times before, in a lot of my previous Beamish posts (of which you can see all of by clicking here), but Beamish is one of the only places we can safely and somewhat stress free-ly walk Baker. He loves it there so hopefully he can enjoy a good few walks this year.

Instead of having a full post of photos from the museum every month I decided it'd be cool to show it through the seasons - starting off with Winter!
The photos in this post are an accumulation from our visits over the first 3 months of 2022,
January 23rd, March 2nd (which we are called February 30th because Baker hurt his paw in February and we couldn't go on the day we'd booked) and March 30th.
See you in Spring...

March

(* I say public but really this is the only place outside of our own house we went as we were able to go midweek mornings when it was quieter, be outside and stay fully away from others with our masks on. With the rule changes it was busier, far less people wore masks or respected your space. We struggled with this on our end of March visit this year and left quite quickly. It would be brilliant if Beamish could bring in a day, even once a month, specially for disabled people, the elderly, those with Autism etc to be able to have a quieter, more respectful and peaceful visit even when it's not raining.)
