These photos are from June 3rd and were taken at Whitburn Point Nature Reserve and Jackie's Beach.
The beach is privately owned; however, it still has public access, which I wish weren't the case. It is an important beach with some special little birds on it, and it would be an absolute haven if humans weren't allowed.
I am aware that we go to this beach, so that statement will probably prompt 'well, why do you go then?' and I would answer that by saying we are much more aware of our surroundings, conscientious and purposeful about where we walk and the effect we have on the area. This is definitely one of those ' If I won the lottery' things, because if I had the money, I'd buy this area and seal it off from the public completely. There are far too few areas untouched by our stupid species.
Anyway...I hope you enjoy these photos.
